Episode 9: Just Be
We start this episode discussing the transition to and from a great trip, adjusting your attitude towards your daily routine, and the idea of stopping traveling altogether. We then dig deep and discuss just being with ourselves and being content with our lives, especially when confronted with others’ accomplishments that remind you of what you might have done and what you may still have left to do. One takeaway from this conversation is to take note of these moments when we feel “envy” or “regret” and investigate what we might learn from them.
“I would like to never travel again. I would like to spend the rest of my days in a place so silent – and working at a place so slow- that I would be able to hear myself living.” from The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert.
