Episode 16: Missed Opportunities
We check in regarding the content and format of our podcast and decide we prefer diving in the deep end of the pool and “bottom-feeding” on the heavier topics. We then talk about the idea of our lives being “missed opportunities.” Are we really ok with how we spend our time and energy? At times, we feel satisfied and yet, at other times, we feel we aren’t doing enough to shape and change the world. We get into what this means, how comparison can play a role in all of this, and how it can motivate us to live more fulfilling lives.
“What we do comes out of who we believe we are.” -Rob Bell
“Querencia (Spanish) describes a place where we feel safe, a home which doesn’t literally have to be where we live, from where we draw our strength and inspiration. In bullfighting, a bull may stake out a querencia in a part of the ring where he will gather his energies before another charge.” Untranslatable Words from The School of Life.
